How to Join the Symphony

Membership Application

All membership terms are annual and require renewal at the beginning of each concert year. If at any time your information changes please fill out an updated membership form online. Physical membership forms may also be filled out and given in-person to a board member at rehearsal.

Membership dues are $10 annually and provide musicians with free sheet music, folders, rehearsal space, and concert venues. Pay online anytime (processing fees apply.) Cash, check, or card are also accepted at rehearsals.

I'm interested, now what?

We have members from school music programs to advanced performers. Those with developing skills learn and grow with us and over time end up mentoring newer members. Experienced players continue to find challenges and we all have fun...an important part of our group. If you have questions about joining our musical community, please contact us, we would like to meet you.

How old do I have to be?

If you are a student, we ask that you also be a part of a continuing music program. Otherwise, the sky's the limit!

When and where do you rehearse?

We rehearse every Saturday morning between 10:00AM to 12:00PM PST. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to set-up and warm-up!

*** Our rehearsal location has moved to Astoria High School!

Please see our Rehearsal Dates page for more updates and the current rehearsal schedule.

What if I can't make EVERY rehearsal?

Of course, missing rehearsals is not the ideal way to rehearse and perform with any group. Working together on a consistent basis allows us to achieve the most professional final product to our audiences.  BUT....life can be very busy, and we understand that some members cannot avoid missing a rehearsal or two.  All we ask is that we are given some notice before the missed rehearsal.  That way the conductor can prepare accordingly.
